By Apostle Alex Adusei Agyemang

Romans 8:1KJV
There is therefore now no condemnation to them, which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Grace doesn’t excuse sin, it empowers you over sin. There is a difference. There have been Christians and preachers who have put words in Paul’s mouth. They make him say what he didn’t say. Actually Paul took notice of that even in his days. He realized that people were twisting his grace message. So he said

“And why not say, (as some slanderously report and claim that we teach) “Let us do evil so that good may come of it”? Their condemnation [by God] is just…….Romans 3:8AMP”

It is this same wrong interpretation that some Christians and preachers make of Paul’s message of grace.
There are those who tell Christians that their sinning don’t matter because there is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. I have been in a church where the Pastor stood before the whole congregant and said this to them.
Such messages are from the pit of hell and if care is not taken, might take some Christians to hell. Don’t put words in Paul’s mouth. You have to complete the whole statement, don’t just take a part or portion. The full statement that he Paul made was,

“There is therefore now no condemnation to them, which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit”

The true definition of the Christian life is one who lives after the spirit and not the flesh but being a Christian doesn’t mean you are automatically going to do so. It’s a continuous choice that the Christian has to make. This is why it is called enduring to the end.

Yes! There is no condemnation to that Christian who will walk and conduct his life after the spirit and not the flesh.

Paul told the Christians in Rome,

“Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh to live according to the flesh;for if ye live according to the flesh ye shall die, but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body ye shall live………Romans 8:12-13KJV”

Paul helps the Christian to understand that he is no more a debtor to the flesh because of the grace of the Lord Jesus. Hallelujah! But he doesn’t end there, he goes on to warn and admonish them saying, “for if ye live according to the flesh ye shall die, but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body ye shall live”

Paul didn’t say that because of grace if the christian goes on walking according according to the flesh , he or she is not going to produce death. No! he said, “Brethren, even though you are christians if you go on walking according to the flesh, you will die”

Its like what Jesus said, you have to understand that it is not God who delights in condemning the christian dwelling in sin. Such a christian has chosen to walk in condemnation. Jesus said,

“And this is the condemnation: that Light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil……..John 3:19KJV”
Have you seen people who love light? When the light goes off in a room, they move to another place where the can find light, they may even light up a candle.

When the light goes off for weeks and it comes back, the whole community shouts and makes noise as if money fell from the sky but when you meet that guy who says I love light whilst abiding in darkness when there is a light source, you become confused.

John says,

“This then is the message which we have heard from Him and declare unto you: that God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all……1 John 1:5KJV”
If you love God, you will love light because God is light and not darkness. You deceive yourself and make yourself a liar when you say you love God but takes pleasure in sin
“If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth”

The preachers of satan in sheep clothing who condones all kinds of sins in the church in the name of grace are deceiving themselves and their flocks.

Jesus said,
“Let them alone; they are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch……Matthew 15:14”

If you follow a blind pastor, you will go into the ditch. There won’t be any excuses. Why? You see, every person has a light in him. When the Christian is living in sin , there is a check in his spirit that tells him that it is wrong. You don’t need Brother Alex to come and tell you that the fornication is wrong. If you are a Christian, you know. The truth is that they take pleasure in such sins and hence love preachers preaching messages that gives them the green light to go on doing the evil that they take pleasure in doing. It is as simple as that. It is wise not to justify yourself but God.

God bless you!
