Proverbs 24:10KJV

If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.

The wisdom of God says, “If thou faint in the day of trouble, thy strength is small” but many have made it “ If thou faint in the day of adversity, it was God’s will”.

Why are many Christians defeated in the troubles and problems of life, it is because their strength, power and might are small.

There are many who have made a book out of  “it is the sovereignty of God”. They link everything to the sovereign will of God. If  a Christian dies in a car accident, it is the will of God. When a brother gets sick and dies, it is God’s sovereignty. Before he died they were praying, it only became the sovereign will of God after the death. Why? They reason that if it wasn’t God’s will, the prayers should have worked but since it didn’t, it ought to be God’s will. The Pastor also preaches the same.

This is a lazy approach to life. You have to find out why it happened so.

People link the happenings of life to the sovereignty of God when they lack answers. Many times this has been due to self justification. They rather put it on God than to take up the responsibility.

You have to understand as a christian that when they say “Knowledge is power”, it is not an axiom of men but the very Word of God says so.

The wisdom of God says,

“A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength…..Proverbs 24:5KJV”

So when He says that the man fell in the time of adversity because the strength was weak, He is saying that they fall in troubles because of the lack of knowledge and wisdom, not that it is God’s will.

In the realm of the spirit, wisdom and knowledge are key. You are not going to get out of a problem just because you are a pastor or a good Christian. The question is “what is your strength?”

It is not every prayer that changes things, only prayers that are weaponized. And prayers are weaponized by knowledge and wisdom. Things don’t change just because you prayed or spoke words. The words you spoke, which spiritual knowledge and wisdom were they based on?

This is why He warns that when instruction, wisdom and knowledge are ignored, prayer becomes an abomination even to God.

“He who turns away his ear from hearing instruction,

even his prayer will be an abomination…..Proverbs 28:9KJV”

Don’t ignore wisdom, don’t ignore accurate knowledge.

God bless you!
