By Apostle Alex Adusei Agyemang Romans 8:29KJV For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. When God created man, the first thing on God’s mind was an image and likeness. Therefore, this was going to define man’s existence throughout life and eternity. “And God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth…….Genesis 1:26KJV” The next thing that God mentioned in relation to the image was dominion. Man dominating over circumstances, issues and creation will be tied to this image. If man wants to be in authority and enjoy all that life comes with, he had to bear this image of God but Adam failed hence the adamic image was corrupted and became subject to the curse of nature and the devil. The reason why the Gospel is good news, so great a message is that the image of God has been made available again but now in its totality and fullness. Christ is the image of God, He is the bodily manifestation, exhibition and expression of God and through the Gospel you get to be part of this mystery. “But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them…………..2 Corinthian 4:3-4KJV” All what satan does, his schemes, deceits and temptation are to prevent man from bearing the image of God. His schemes are to make Christians and the world bear his image. And this is why the end of this world as prophesied about comes with the image of the beast. A man called the antichrist; the beast will be a bodily expression of satan and will cause many in the world to worship the image. Life is about an image and whether you like it or not, you are bearing an image. Its either the image of God or the devil. There is no middle ground. Either you have been bearing the image of satan or of God, there is no middle. Who is the carnal Christian? The carnal Christian is a one though born again, still goes on bearing the image of satan. Paul wrote to the Christians at Corinth and said, “For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?……..1 Corinthians 3:3KJV” Paul wasn’t happy about the attitude and manner of conduct of these Christians because even though they were Christians, they were bearing the image of the devil. Pride, envy, fear, arroagance, insurbodination and all other evils are consistent with the image of the devil Paul wasn’t happy because these Christians were bearing the image of the devil and were puffed up about it. James put it succinctly when he says, “But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish…….James 3:14-15KJV” The earthly and sensual image is actually a devilish image. In this year 2022, the world will be thrown into more uproar, destruction and confusion, your safe haven is only in bearing the image of God. In your health, moral lives, communication and manner of conduct and behavior, bear the image of God. It is about two images, choose one but be wise to choose the image of life. God bless you!
