By Apostle Alex Adusei Agyemang Ephesians 6:12KJV For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places The approach of some Christians in their spiritual fight with the devil clearly shows that they havent really understood Christianity. They think they do but they havent. You find Christians praying , battling and crying to break generational curses. After you become a Christian, if you have to pray to break a generational curse then Jesus failed in what He came to do. The Bible says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation……2 Corinthians 5:17KJV” According to what Paul said in this verse, when did you become a new creature? When did old things pass away ? And when did all things become new? Are old things going to pass away in the future? Are all things going to become new when Jesus returns? Or do you pray to achieve this? Does “anyone” apply to every Christian? Or does all things becoming new exclude generational curses?” There are pastors who have written books to help Christians break generational curses. Volumes of books have been written. All these are a mark of ignorance . How are they going to help you break the generational curse? The day you got born again, all the generational curses broke. The problem is their lack of understanding of the spiritual fight that the Christian is engaged in. It is called the Fight of faith The Fight of faith is not a battle to defeat satan but a contest to enforce the defeat and victory won two thousand years ago. This is why it is a fight in rest. It is a fight from the position of victory. You have to understand that satan’s stratagem against the Christian, his lie in wait, is to get you out of that position of truth and your identity in Christ. This is why Jesus said, “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free……..John 8:32KJV” Observe what Paul said concerning Christians who are taken captive by satan’s will. “In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will ……..2 Timothy 2: 25-26KJV” The Christian opposes himself by not acknowledging the truth and such a Christian is taken captive by satan anytime he the devil likes. This is why some Christians remain in bondage even though it shouldn’t be. They ran with dreams and a vision that they got and never asked if it was consistent with truth? They haven’t been taught to understand what Christianity is about, they think they are still in Judaism. Christianity is a life in truth, it is a walk in truth. When you get out of truth, you cut off heaven’s supply. Satan knows that so his weaponry is centered on getting the christian from the position of faith, from the position of truth. Faith is the Word of God and the Word of God is truth so when the Bible says that “(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)……….2 Corinthians 5:7 KJV” It means we walk and conduct our lives by truth, not sight or sensory perceptions God bless you!
