Hebrews 11:6KJV

 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

The Bible says,

“But without faith it is impossible to please God”. Walking with God is very easy, not difficult at all. He tells us what He wants and what He doesn’t want. Almost all Christians want their lives to please God but He shows the basic ingredient to reach such a feat.

What the Bible is telling us today is that you can be the most loving of all people, the most prayerful, you can be spending 24 hours praising God but if the basic and fundamental ingredient of faith is not there, God is not pleased.

This is why there are unbelievers who demonstrate a great substance of love towards their spouse, children and even outsiders but yet God is not pleased. This is because those actions are not dictated by their knowledge of God; the Word of God does not dictate it.

Everything that we do if not governed by the Word of God means nothing to Him. Our knowledge of Him and of His Word should govern our actions.

God shows the importance of faith by the statement,

““But without faith it is impossible to please God”. It is not hard but impossible to please God without faith. We better live by faith then.

How does faith come?

“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God…..Romans 10:17KJV”

Faith is the Word of God. Therefore you please God when your actions in life no matter the circumstance are determined by what God says or has said.

For instance, you may be told that you have been poisoned and hence will die but the Word of God says,

“…….. if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; ………Mark 16:18KJV”

You only please God by sticking to His Word rather than what you have been told, pain or no pain. Such is faith. Faith is very simple, it is very simple to walk with God.

 

That won’t be reasonable, Bro Alex? What is reasonable? Is it what God says or what man says or feels? Be the judge

Abraham and Sarah had gone to the hospital and all the diagnostic and medical reviews were done. The doctor was a specialist and branded Abraham as impotent, Sarah was barren and in menopause. Menopause actually means an abiding pause. It means that this pause is forever.

These were the medical facts but then God had spoken. Oh ! All you need is for God to have spoken concerning you in that situation. God had said that Sarah will  conceive.

As long as Abraham was concerned, what was reasonable was what God had said

So Paul says,

“And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform……. Romans 4:19-21KJV”

You may be in a problem but what has God said.

“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him”
