Hebrews13:15KJV

By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

Peter said,

“Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ……1 Peter 2:5KJV”

Now that you are a Christian, you are a priest. You are not going to be but presently are. You have been born again a priest, after the order of Melchizedek.

Therefore as a priest, you are mandated to offer to God spiritual sacrifices. We don’t offer sacrifices of bulls, rams and goats. Our sacrifices are spiritual.

One of such important sacrifices is the sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving.

Though almost all Christians are engaged in praises and thanksgiving, very few have been taught to understand that they do that as priests in office offering sacrifices to God. You are more blessed if your praises and thanksgiving are done with this understanding.

Doing it with this consciousness is where the blessing lies.

How often are we supposed to offer such sacrifices? Like the old testament levitical priests who daily and at all times were offering sacrifices of bulls and goats to God in the temple, you as a priest in the temple of your body are to offer these spiritual sacrifices continually

“By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name”

When you understand this that you are a priest in office, you will offer praises and thanksgiving to God when bathing, cooking, in the car, in the bus, at the workplace etc. You can be learning or reading a book but pause a while to offer praises and thanksgiving and after continue.

Unlike that guy who praises God when he goes to church or at a time of convenience, you have come to understand that you are a priest in office and hence you ought to and are mandated to offer sacrifices to God.

When you praise God like this with such understanding, it won’t be long that you start moving into increased grace and favor in your life

God bless you!
