By Apostle Alex Adusei Agyemang

Acts 7:55KJV
But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,

The Lord Jesus is not standing on the right hand of God for Scripture helps us to understand that when He ascended, He was received into glory to sit on the right hand of God. He is not standing but sitting on the right hand of God.
“After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God…..Mark 16:19NIV”

Again David said,
“A Psalm of David. The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool…….. Psalm 110:1KJV”

So Jesus is seated on the right hand of God, He is seated and not standing but in one moment in time we found the Lord standing on the right hand of God.

This event happened at the martyrdom of the Christian disciple called Stephen.

When Stephen was about to be stoned for his boldness in preaching the truth and the Gospel to the Jews, Jesus stood to give him a standing ovation. The Lord gave a standing ovation to Stephen.

I tell people, give your whole self for Jesus. It is far better to receive a standing ovation from Jesus than one from the world. How do you think the life of Stephen will be in the coming age?

Christians are told that it doesn’t matter how they live. Well, lets observe how Jesus treats different crops of Christians.

Whilst Jesus is giving one Christian a standing ovation, He was disappointed in
others.
“But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and
saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,”

“To the angel of the church in Sardis write: These are the words of him who holds the seven spirits of God and the seven stars. I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead……….Revelation 3:1KJV”

These Christians had an outward reputation of being alive but as long as Jesus was concerned, they were dead. How does He see you? It matters how He sees you.
“And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:……Revelations 3:14-17KJV”

Whilst one Christian was getting a standing ovation, others were branded as dead and wretched. It is not as simple as some Christians have been made to think.

Peter said,
“For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?……1 Peter 4:17-18KJV

This is the Peter who walked with Jesus, I will not play with what he says and you shouldn’t either Christianity has a purpose and your presence on earth has a purpose. He is called our Lord for a reason. The Lord tells the servant what to do and not what the servant pleases

You can choose to get a standing ovation, it is a choice you make.

God bless you!
