By Apostle Alex Adusei Agyemang Ephesians 1:3KJV Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: When God speaks in the past, you don’t put it in the future. When He speaks in the future, you don’t put it in the present. You don’t understand tenses more than God. When God speaks in the singular, you don’t put it in the plural and when He speaks in the plural, we don’t limit it to singular. We don’t understand grammar more than God. He is the Word. For instance, Paul says “Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ…. Galatians 3:16 KJV” God’s promise was to Abraham and his seed (as in singular) and not seeds (as in plural). You changing the “seed” to “seeds” give a different meaning from what was implied. In the same vein, when you consider the introductory Bible verse, it says “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:” He never said “will bless you with all spiritual blessings” but “has blessed us with all spiritual blessings”. This has already been done. The Christian is a joint participator in the blessings. There has been a pronouncement of consecratory blessings upon you. These blessings set you apart. It is wrong for a Christian to beg, cry and pray to God to bless him. Many preachers and Christians make such pronouncement but it is borne out of ignorance. The Christian is the blessed one. After God blessed Abraham, it would have been wrong for Abraham to cry and be begging God to bless him. What was demanded of Abraham was how he ought to walk with God to ensure that the blessing was vitally activated in his life. It’s the same with Christianity. As a Christian, you have to live with the consciousness of one who has been blessed. You have to see yourself as the blessed one and operate from that arena. You even have to pray from that understanding. The psalmist says “For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding…Psalms 47:7KJV” “Understanding” is key to everything that we do as Christians. In Christianity, God is not after acts, acts could get you going under the law but not in Christianity. This is why many wonderful Christians go to church, pay their tithe, pray, read their Bible but still get defeated by satan. Christianity is a walk with God through understanding. This is why Christianity is based on “Truth” John says, “For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ…. John 1:17KJV” Having knowledge of the truth that you are the blessed one and not that God is now going to bless you is very vital. Now, when you consider again the theme verse, he helps you to understand that “nothing was left out”. You have been blessed with all spiritual blessings The Apostles understood this all-important truth so Peter like Paul also said, “ According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:…..2 Peter 1:3KJV” You have been blessed and granted all things that pertain to life and godliness God bless you! Confession I believe with my heart that Jesus is the very Son of God that He came to die for me and was raised up by God the Father. I confess Him as the Lord of my life from this day forward. Hallelujah! I am born again
