By Apostle Alex Adusei Agyemang Hebrews 11:1KJV Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen Paul says, “But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged by no man…..1 Corinthians 2:15KJV” The Christian is the spiritual man and he is supposed to judge things from the spiritual plane of life. He is supposed to consider the unseen. The unseen is more real than the seen because the seen came to meet the unseen. The seen came from the unseen “Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear……Hebrews 11:3KJV” Many times when bad things happen to Christians, people are concerned about why God didn’t intervene. It appears that way in their eyes. May be the question should be, was there something that the individual didn’t do? Aren’t there people who had a dream not to go to a certain place, they never took it seriously and went to meet their untimely death? This is because such individuals don’t put much importance on the unseen,what they take more seriously are things perceived by the naked eyes. Aren’t there people who had a spiritual impression not to take a certain vehicle or even to pray but never did, and calamity resulted? It’s important you take the unseen seriously as guided by the Word of God. God may not come and shout to you, it doesn’t mean He is not always guiding you or that you are less important to Him. This is how some people think, they reason that if they were that important to God, Elijah should have been sent to their house. Such thoughts are wrong, you are very important to God but we don’t suggest to God on how to lead us in life. We are to be conscious of the spiritual and very discerning. As important as baby Jesus was to God, it was in a dream that God warned Joseph to take the baby to Egypt or Herod will kill him “Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word; for Herod will seek the young Child to destroy Him……Matthew 2:13KJV” Joseph didn’t hear a shout or strong voice warning him to take Jesus to Egypt. No, it wasn’t an audible voice. It was a dream. He could have ignored the messenger who brought the word to him in that dream. How many times have Christians ignored certain dreams and spiritual impressions. It doesn’t mean go with every dream, the Word of God should be the measuring rod. Now if Joseph had not obeyed the dream, what would have happened ? The fact that it was Jesus, didn’t mean the rules were not to be obeyed. If so, God wouldn’t beckon on Joseph to take Jesus to Egypt. What could have been more important than the protection of Jesus, the fate of the whole universe rested on Him? Yet still the instruction came by the agency of a dream. Therefore the fact that something came to you by the channel of a dream, a spiritual impression or an inner knowing doesn’t mean it is not important. Don’t measure the importance by the channel God is pleased with people who take the unseen seriously, it is a measure of spirituality. It is a measure of faith God bless you!
