By Apostle Alex Adusei Agyemang John 13:3KJV Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God; The Knowledge that a man has is what is going to order his conduct, attitude and actions in life. You are a product of your knowledge. This is why the importance of accurate knowledge can never be overemphasized. It is so vital John speaking about the Master says, “Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands…” The Lord understood what was at stake, that everything had been placed in His hands, the very salvation of the whole generations of men depended on Him now. This was not any small thing to play around hence He was focused, determined and committed to the very end. Paul talking about Jesus says, “And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross….Philippians 2:8KJV” The Lord was obedient unto death. One time, Jesus was supposed to have been hungry but the disciples came and found Him preaching the Gospel to a Samaritan woman. This was His response to them, “My meat is to do the will of Him that sent me, and to finish His work…. John 4:34KJV” In other words, the work of the Father was more important than His very existence and comfort. Jesus didn’t descend through the skies unto the earth. Yes, His conception was miraculous but He was conceived like any other person, Mary carried Him for 40weeks. He was pushed out like any other baby. This Jesus was breastfed and weaned. He lived a good 33(.5) years on earth. You don’t find Jesus going after the building of mansions. His focus was not to be the man with most money on earth. On at least three different occasions, He was short of money and had to perform miracles to feed multitudes and pay tribute. His drive in life was centered on one major theme, to finish the Father’s work. His passion was the salvation of souls. Since one soul worth more to God than the whole earth, He understood what was at stake This is the Jesus that said concerning the Church, “As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world…..John 17:18KJV” Christians are in the world for the same purpose that Jesus was, the salvation of men. Don’t let anyone deceive you to think that Jesus gave this work to the evangelist. They should study their Bible very well. This is the reason why every Christian is on this earth. The day Jesus returns, He is not going to ask you about the university you attended, the mansions you built, your career etc etc. He is not going to ask you about the carnal side of life. Not at all. You are going to be assessed on your love walk, any other Kingdom ministry committed to your trust and the salvation of souls. Paul knew what was at stake so he made sure to preach Jesus to everyone that he could spend some considerable time with. Therefore he could make this bold statement “Therefore I attest to you this day that I am pure from the blood of all men,…. Acts 20:26KJV” Are you pure from the blood of all men? You have friends and family members who are not saved but all you talk about with them are money and things of this world, things soon passing away, how can you be pure from their blood? Paul here was re-echoing the same thing that God said to Prophet Ezekiel “But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand.So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me……..Ezekiel 33:6-7KJV” The Christian has been set as a watchman unto the world. You are the watchman in that family, in that company, in that hospital, in that university, in that class of study, in that bank etc. Know what is at stake. God bless you! Confession I believe with my heart that Jesus is the very Son of God that He came to die for me and was raised up by God the Father. I confess Him as the Lord of my life from this day forward.
