By Apostle Alex Adusei Agyemang Proverbs 26:1-2KJV Like snow in summer and like rain in harvest, so honor is not fitting for a [self-confident] fool. Like the sparrow in her wandering, like the swallow in her flying, so the causeless curse does not alight. When it snows in summer, it means there is a problem, something unusual has happened. This is not normal, it is unnatural. It is expected to snow in winter and not in summer. When it rains in the harvest season, it is unnatural. It is supposed to rain in the sowing season and not during the time of harvest. Such is not expected; this shouldn’t be the natural order of things. This is not how God willed it; He didn’t plan it this way. When a fool gets honored, there is a problem. Fools shouldn’t get honored; it is not fitting for them. In the same vein, wisdom says that curses without a cause will not come to a person, home or family. When you find a curse in your life or that of a loved one, don’t say it is the will of God. No! Something caused it. If many Christians understood this important truth, there were problems, troubles and even deaths that could be stopped and resolved. If you are unfortunate to be in the “everything is the will of God” camp, they will associate that curse to it being the will of God and keep you in consistent suffering and bondage. No! The curse causeless shall never come. Something caused it and if I can find out what caused it, I can bring a lasting change into the situation. First and foremost, the Christian shouldn’t be in a curse but he or she can bring it to himself. If a Christian is in a curse then it is not normal, something caused it “And never return evil for evil or insult for insult [avoid scolding, berating, and any kind of abuse], but on the contrary, give a blessing [pray for one another’s well-being, contentment, and protection]; for you have been called for this very purpose, that you might inherit a blessing [from God that brings well-being, happiness, and protection]………1 Peter 3:9AMP” What is Peter communicating in this passage of his epistle? When a Christian is told to render good for evil, it is to your own advantage. This is how you keep yourself in the blessing. Your tongue will either keep you in the blessing or open you up to curses. What then is a curse? Anything which is not consistent with God’s destiny for you is a curse. In the future when the new heaven and earth had been setup, this is what John the apostle said “There will no longer exist anything that is cursed [because sin and illness and death are gone]; and the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and His bond-servants will serve and worship Him [with great awe and joy and loving devotion]…….Revelation 22:3AMPC. King James Bible put it this way, “And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him” “There shall be no more curse”! If there shall be no more curses in the then future, it means this world is presently engulfed in curses. What are the curses? All the evils of this world, sins, sickness and death are part of the curse. The secret to salvation from any problem is humility and sincerity with the Word of God. If many Christians would accept that sickness is a curse, they wouldn’t have died. They knew too much biomedical science to agree with God. What they don’t know is that medical knowledge is just a small portion of the whole picture. Jesus addressed fever as an entity. What did He know about fever that the doctor didn’t know? “And He stood over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. And immediately she arose and ministered unto them…….Luke 4:39KJV” So fever can be rebuked, which medical school teaches that? The Bible says, “that their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love unto all the riches of the full assurance of understanding, that they may acknowledge the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ, in whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge……..Colossians 2:2-3KJV” Yes! In Christ, dwells all wisdom and knowledge. The things that the universities of this world don’t know, Jesus can teach you. When the curse alights in your home, don’t accept it as normal. It is unnatural, something caused it. Find what caused it, make changes and get rid of it.
