 Colossians 4:5-6KJV

Walk in wisdom toward those who are outsiders, redeeming the time. Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man

The Bible says, “A soft answer turneth away wrath, but grievous words stir up anger….. Proverbs 15:1KJV”

Paul wrote from roman custody to the saints at Colosse, admonishing them to deal wisely with those who are not in the Christian faith, especially in their proclamation of the Gospel.

There is a way the Christian should talk and communicate. Your speech should reveal the wisdom and character of Christ.

We are on a mission in this world, a mission to win the world to Christ hence we ought to be strategic and tactical when it comes to the world.

The Christian should understand that the world doesn’t have the wisdom and knowledge that he has hence in your dealing with them, one has to be conscious of this very important fact. The eyes of their understanding have been blinded by satan hence you ought to be extremely patient in relating to them, the same way one will be when dealing with a blind man. We ought to exercise caution.

There are things you ignore when dealing with an infant or a toddler, you know that he hasn’t matured to understand what you do. We must assume the same with the unregenerate man.

There are Christians who are very patient and accommodating when it comes to their fellow Christians but very keen on passing judgment on unbelievers.

Such is not wisdom, we must expect more from Christians than the unregenerate man, a man with no nature of righteousness.

So Paul says,

“For what business is it of mine to judge outsiders (non-believers)? Do you not judge those who are within the church [to protect the church as the situation requires]?…..1 Corinthians 5:12AMP”

We have to understand these things if we will effectively win the world.

Let your speech be always with grace.

God bless you!

Confession

I believe with my heart that Jesus is the very Son of God that He came to die for me and was raised up by God the Father. I confess Him as the Lord of my life from this day forward. Hallelujah!  I am born again
