Proverbs 27:2NIV

Let someone else praise you, and not your own mouth; an outsider, and not your own lips.

Christianity is a call to perfect holiness; it is training in righteousness. Always what God seeks to do is prune His Children so as to remove the little figs that destroy the vine.

He always seeks to take away from your life those things that lead to evil.

There are Christians who like blowing their own horns. You can be around them for just an hour and know all about their achievements and accomplishments in life. Their motive for this is to seek the honor and respect of others.

Such is a life in unrighteousness. All such behavior results from self-centeredness.

Not only do the flocks exude such attitude, we have ministers of the gospel who have given themselves all kinds of titles just to show off. All these in the house of God. They come boasting and showing off all their achievements in the church. This even becomes the sermon for the day. Such is carnality

Paul, Peter, James, John and the earlier disciples of Jesus were not like that. Jesus admonished us on the way to live. How our attitude in life should be, He projected to us the presentation of a low-key profile. Jesus said

When thou art bidden of any man to a wedding, sit not down in the highest room; lest a more honorable man than thou be bidden of him; And he that bade thee and him come and say to thee, Give this man place; and thou begin with shame to take the lowest room. But when thou art bidden, go and sit down in the lowest room; that when he that bade thee cometh, he may say unto thee, Friend, go up higher: then shalt thou have worship in the presence of them that sit at meat with thee. For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted…..Luke 14:8-11KJV”

Don’t glorify yourself. Don’t blow your own trumpet, let people rather see it

Wisdom says,

Let someone else praise you, and not your own mouth; an outsider, and not your own lips”

Don’t praise yourself or your family, let people observe and talk about it. Your goal in life shouldn’t be the applause and glory of men. Your goal should be the honor of God and not of men.

The Master said,

“How can ye believe, which receive honor one of another, and seek not the honor that cometh from God only?….John 5:44KJV”

Don’t boast of your abilities; don’t boast of your accomplishment and achievements

 God bless you!

Confession

I believe with my heart that Jesus is the very Son of God that He came to die for me and was raised up by God the Father. I confess Him as the Lord of my life from this day forward. Hallelujah! I am born again
