Proverbs 29:25KJV

The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe

Fear is a trap, it is of the devil. It puts man in bondage, subjecting him to oppression. The same way God operates by faith, satan does by fear. satan and his cohorts feed on fear. They are energized by fear. Why entertain something that empowers your enemy to destroy you?

Paul says, “For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father…….Romans 8:15KJV”

The word “again” is very important in this verse. This means that before a man gets born again, he has a spirit of slavery. His spirit which is the original life source was a slave and in bondage. Therefore, such a person was always going to fulfil the demands of the flesh and senses. He is a slave to his flesh. He was a sense ruled man. This is why he was always abiding in fear, fear of the curse. satan could come at anytime to cause havoc in his house and life.

“Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage……….Hebrews 2:14-15KJV”

satan used to have authority over death but after the cross, not anymore. He could at that time come to any home and cause destruction. The bible says, “he had the power of death”

And how was he destroying back then, when he had the power of death? he did it by fear. So how does he still destroy, now that he doesn’t have the authority of death over the christian. Child of God, understand that currently satan doesn’t legally have the power of death over you. he used to have but not anymore

“Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:……..colossians 1:12-13KJV”

If so, how does he still destroy some christians? he does that again by fear but now he has to deceive them into thinking that they are still subject to bondage and oppression.

The fear of men becomes a trap, a noose to them.

Paul told the Roman christians, “Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh……Romans 8:12KJV”

The Christian is not a debtor to the flesh anymore but then he goes on to say,

“For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die………Romans 8:13aKJV”. Even though they are no more debtors to the flesh, if the Christian is not taught this and goes on living according to the flesh, he will die.

You may be the most committed Christian of all, you can be the bishop or archbishop, and it doesn’t matter. You will produce death in your life and body if you go on living according to the flesh.

Because he feels a pain in his side and was told it’s a kidney problem, he accepts it and cowers to it, forgetting that he is no more a debtor to the flesh. The problem further deteriorates and he dies. He lacks understanding of the spirituality of life.

Jesus said,

“It is the Spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing. The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life……..John 6:63KJV”

Get rid of fear!

God bless you!
