By Apostle Alex Adusei Agyemang Philippians 4:8AMPC For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them]. What are toxic thoughts? These are thoughts inconsistent with the way of righteousness and holiness. These are so to speak evil thoughts and the Christian needs to get rid of them. In as much as there is what is called pseudo or false science, most of which throughout history had been born out of Gnosticism, there is also what is called true science. True science will always conform to the Word of God. Before Pythagoras first proposed that the earth was round, it had been already stated by Isaiah the Prophet. True science will always conform to God’s Word “It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:…..Isaiah 40:22KJV” In the same vein, neuroscientists over the years have discovered that there are certain kinds of thoughts that can be toxic to the human body. These evil thoughts were found to change the brain neuronal structure and wave pattern. The vice versa was found with Good and healthy thoughts. Now, this was what these scientists were able to discover thus far. What about that which they are yet to ? As a Christian, the Word of God should be enough for you. You don’t need science before you take God’s oracles seriously. When God tells you the Christian to mount guard your heart and mind, He knows why. He instructs you on that for your own protection. It pays to heed to God. Therefore, get rid of toxic thoughts! God bless you!
