By Apostle Alex Adusei Agyemang Hebrews 10:38KJV Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, My soul shall have no pleasure in him. Faith substantiates God, it is the substantiating of life. Faith gives substance to life. Faith is not about you, it is about God. Life is not about you, it is about God. You derive life by substantiating Him who is life. This is what faith does, it unites a man with God so he can manifest and express God who is life. Many have made life about them but life is not and was not made to be about you. Life is supposed to be about Him who is life. The Bible says, “For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him………Colossians 1:16KJV” The moment you make life about you, you set the law of death in motion, this is what self-centeredness does, it sets death in motion. Life is also not supposed to be about others, there are some who have wrongly understood the Bible and have taught that life is supposed to be about others. No! Life is supposed to be about God and Him only but if you live for Him, you will treat others well. You will relate with others how He says you should. The Just shall live by faith, it’s a ‘shall’ and not a ‘may’. When the Bible talks to you about many things the old saints accomplished by faith, don’t think it was about them. It was about God. Through faith, a man becomes an extension of the unseen God to his tangible dimension of life. This is why Christ is the perfection of faith, for in Him a man becomes what he was created to be, giving substance to the Spirit God Through Faith, a man is imparted with and by God. Faith is a walk with God, a walk where you become imparted with and by God, you can become so imparted that you become hidden and all that is seen is God, this is faith. Oh! if Christians will understand what faith really is, their approach to life will change. Many have made faith what they use to get something from God, this is a limited and shallow understanding of faith. Faith should be seen as that through which I express God to the world. You have to make faith about Him and not you. Even in the midst of death, make faith about Him and not you. The three friends of Daniel said to King Nebuchadnezzer, “ But even if God does not save us, we want you to know, King, that we refuse to serve your gods. We will not worship the gold idol you have set up….. Daniel 3:18 ERV” These three had come to the understanding that life is not about them but God. Did they die in the fire? When you substantiate life, you derive life. Jesus said, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it…….Matthew 16:24-25NIV” Give substance to life! God bless you!
