There are certain crops of Christians and preachers alike who downplay the importance of accurate knowledge. They make unwise statements like “No one can understand the whole Bible till Jesus comes”. They think they are being humble but don’t really know that such statements displease God. God is not hiding anything in the Bible from the Christian, they have to understand who the Christian is and has become. Revelation is progressive but it has been God’s agenda to bring the church into full truth. Paul, Peter, John, James and the other writers didn’t waste time and effort to write epistles to the churches in diverse places and regions, not expecting them to fully understand the letters. They were not playing games but these are the letters that some crops of Christians are waiting for Jesus to return to understand. Paul wrote to Timothy and said, “The Lord gives you understanding in all things”. Not in some but all things. Paul understood who the Christian is and what Jesus meant by “It has been granted you to understand the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven” The Master Himself, the Lord Jesus spoke to the disciples and said “when the Spirit of truth is come, He shall guide you into all truth” The Holy Spirit came to guide us into all truth. Such crops of Christians didn’t take the Words of Jesus seriously. When was the Holy Spirit supposed to do that? At the second coming of Jesus or before? It is very easy for any Christian who will be sincere with that statement to know that Jesus was talking of a period before His second coming. People preaching different concepts are nothing new. Even at the time of Jesus, when truth Himself was walking on earth, the Pharisees, Sadducees and other sects were teaching their own opinions and doctrines. Jesus didn’t say that because there were different doctrinal concepts, the people were justified to be deceived. No! He told them to beware of the leaven of the Pharisee. In the same vein, He tells you the Christian to prove all things. So like in the time of Jesus, the fact that there are denominations with different opinions doesn’t mean that someone or groups of people don’t have the truth. Many times, the problem has been that there are folks who think that because they don’t know then no one should. This is called pride. We don’t decide for God. Are we His counselor? We don’t tell God who to show what He wants to. He decides, He is the potter and we are the clay. Your responsibility as a Christian is to discern whom He has sent to you to bring you into truth. Accurate Knowledge is very important because when God was in flesh, this is what He said “ Making the word of God of no effect through your tradition which you have handed down. And many such things you do…. Mark 7:13 NKJV” Jesus says that the Word of God will not work for you in that situation if men are preaching to you their opinions and not the accurate knowledge of God. God has spoken, don’t let man deceive you God bless you!
