God's will

Matthew 6:10KJV

Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

God’s will is what He desires, that which He takes pleasure and delight in. God’s will is what He wants to be done.

Over the years a lot has been said about God’s will, even from the pulpit.

The best person to tell you about God’s will for your life is no other person but God Himself.

When God was in flesh, He told us about His will and desire, to listen to a contrary opinion from any person is to live in error, you cannot blame God for that

Jesus, God in flesh said to His disciples, pray in this manner

“Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven”

 What do we learn from this?

The world since Adam had been for 4000 years before the Master made this submission to His disciples, asking them to pray for God’s will to be done on earth.

What is God telling us? He is helping us to understand that His will is not automatically done on earth as some people have assumed. The sovereignty of God doesn’t mean that His will gets automatically done.

For some Christians, everything that happens to them or on earth is God’s will but Jesus says, it is not true.

If God’s will gets automatically done, you need not pray for His will to be done on earth. Therefore the Word of God and not the happenings in people’s life should be what should inform you about God’s will

Secondly, Jesus helps us to understand that God’s will gets done in heaven.

“Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven”

Therefore, it is very easy to know the happenings on earth or in your life that God takes displeasure in.

Is there any sickness in heaven? If not, sickness then is not God’s will.

No wonder when Jesus was on earth, He healed all sick people.

“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him….Acts 10:38KJV”

Is sin in heaven? Therefore, ignore those who preach that sin doesn’t matter because of grace.

The earth was supposed to be heaven in the physical or third dimension, this was God’s dream and has always been God’s dream. Things changed when Adam fell into sin and all the years from that day, what God has been working on is to restore that dream.
