2 Corinthians 5:19KJV

To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

There are Christians who give towards soul winning and the Kingdom work, they even share devotions, sermons and evangelism tracts. These activities are wonderful and well pleasing to God. They all come under the bigger umbrella of the ministry of reconciliation and the Christian is encouraged to abound in such works

Notwithstanding, these are not enough. Paul carefully chose his words on his submission on the ministry of reconciliation to the Corinthian saints.

He says,

“To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation”

He means in the same manner that God was in Christ, making peace with the world, He has committed the speaking and telling forth of that message of reconciliation to you. This is what He means by “the word of reconciliation”

He is talking about an utterance of it, that is your voice ought to be involved in it.

Nothing can substitute for this. Inasmuch as you continue to engage in the other activities, you shouldn’t ignore this, your personal acclammation and proclammation of the message of reconciliation to unbelievers.

There are Christians who many times because of the responsibilities they may have in the professional world, try to substitute their giving(financial) towards this cause for the personal telling forth of the message of reconciliation. You have to understand that the two are different, they do not have mutual exclusivity and should happen at the same time. You ought to do the two.

The Lord wants every Christian to witness and testify in his sphere of contact. The best way is to start from your own nuclear or extended family. You can note all the people in your family who do not know Jesus and begin to pray and preach to them. This is the best and easiest place to start.

This is not a suggestion. The Lord has committed the voicing out of the message of reconciliation to our trust and we ought to be faithful.

God bless you!

Confession

I believe with my heart that Jesus is the very Son of God that He came to die for me and was raised up by God the Father. I confess Him as the Lord of my life from this day forward. Hallelujah!  I am born again
