Ephesians 1:1KJV

Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints, which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:

Paul, a man thought by many to be the greatest Apostle to have ever lived, did greatly and marvelously for the body of Christ, the church.

We can talk about his trial of cruel mockings, the bonds, imprisonments, his scourgings, the stoning, the many afflictions and reproaches, His missionary journeys throughout Asia, Europe and North Africa. What about the numerous churches he planted? It goes on and on.

Irrespective of his great biography, historical documentary, the narratives, rhetorics and eulogy, what makes any of the things he accomplished matter, is what he himself said,

Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God”. What mattered was it being the will of God.

No matter the physical and spiritual edifices, no matter the applause we receive from men, if all what was done and accomplished were not in the will of God, they are like garbage to be thrown to the trash can.

The most important thing in life is the will of God. On that very day when all is said and done and the trumpet blown or the silver cord broken, what will matter is, were they done in the will of God?

The Psalmist says,

“Except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it. Except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain…..Psalm 127:1KJV”

What is the Psalmist saying in this verse? Something can be built even though it was never the will of God. The fact that God is not behind something doesn’t mean it will not be built.

God is not behind Islam, Mormonism and other occult and mystic religions but they have been built. They are very rich and everywhere

Are the career, ministerial and spiritual edifices you have built in the will of God?

As Christians we have to understand that everything about our lives were planned before we came. We are not the architects, God has the blueprint. All we need is to follow the plan. This is all what success is in the eyes of God. Success is fulfilling the plan of your life.

There are Christians who are living in the wrong countries, in the wrong career, married to the wrong people and even in the wrong churches.

We are not supposed to live anyhow. There are some who just take any opportunity that life throws at them. This is not how the Christian is supposed to live. Your life was planned, ordered and structured. The work you are supposed to be doing, the country to be living at any point in time, the people you are to meet at any point in time were all planned. There are some who meet people they were never supposed to encounter just because of wrong choices in life.

He says

“Your ears will hear a word behind you, “This is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right or to the left…..Isaiah 30:21AMP”

Some people’s lives are not guided but God wants to guide our paths.

Today, take a break and ask yourself if you are walking in that path of life set by God for you. If you are, happy are you. If not, make the right choices? The Holy Ghost is in you to guide you

God bless you!
