By Apostle Alex Adusei Agyemang Titus 2:13AMP Awaiting and confidently expecting the [fulfillment of our] blessed hope and the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus, After the resurrection of Jesus, Thomas the doubter after feeling the nail prints in the hands of Jesus had this to say, “Thomas answered Him, “My Lord and my God!”……John 20:28KJV” Thomas referred to Jesus as his Lord and God. Thomas was a Jew and understood what it meant to say that but at this point, he Thomas counted it not as blasphemous. Jesus didn’t reply to say, “Thomas, don’t blaspheme for God is in heaven”. Rather, the Master said “Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed. Blessed are they that have not seen and yet have believed……John 20:29KJV” Believe what, Lord? That I Jesus, I am Lord and God. For Thomas said, “My Lord and my God!” It surprised me to find out that there are many preachers, denominations and Christians who didn’t know that Jesus is God. To some there are three God’s. They teach a trilogy of Gods. This is very sad. Trinity doesn’t mean that there are three Gods. Yes, there is only one God. The teaching that there are three Gods is heretical. It is paganism in Christianity. You have brought paganism into Christianity and you better stop. This imagery they have been portraying over centuries that there is a throne beside the throne of God the Father where Jesus is sitting is heresy and untrue. There is only one throne and Jesus is the one seated on it. Where is God the Father? God the Father is in Jesus. Jesus is the body of the Godhead. Paul says “For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily……Colossians 2:9KJV” The totality and fullness of the Godhead dwells in the body of Jesus. You are not going to find God the Father outside the body of Jesus. Jesus is God. Don’t let anyone deceive you. Paul the Apostle faced this same issue with the gentile Christians in his day and had to write and address the issue. There are not three but only one God This concept was very important to God so the Jews were made to always recite that God was one. He is one and not three as wrongly proclaimed. “Hear, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord is one [the only God]…..Deuteronomy 6:4KJV” He is one and not three. Paul the Apostle understood this very important truth that Jesus is God. Let’s observe how he refers to Jesus in His second coming. He says “Awaiting and confidently expecting the [fulfillment of our] blessed hope and the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus” He is the great God and savior. Yes! That’s who Jesus is. He is the great God and savior. Jesus is God God bless you!
