Joy is not happiness, for joy is more than happiness. Happiness is dependent on circumstances but joy is irrespective of events. This is why we are supposed to joy in trying times “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations…….James 1:2KJV” Joy is a decision, you decide to have joy . You may not be happy about certain situations but ought to have joy all the time. Joy is produced from within, it comes from the inner recreated spirit . The Kingdom of God will be inoperative in your life when there is no joy. Joy is the ignition key , it ignites God’s power. There is a joy that comes from the Holy Ghost, it goes with God’s power. Joy will stir up the power within. This is why murmuring, griping and complaining are not acceptable in the sight of God. These take the place of absent joy. Joy is key, it is very important in your Christian walk. You ought to always have inner joy. If satan can take away your joy, he will defeat you “Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice……Philippians 4:4KJV” This is no ordinary joy, it is a joy in the Holy Ghost, it is a joy in the Lord It’s a joy that comes from the Spirit of Christ.
