By Apostle Alex Adusei Agyemang Psalm 119:105KJV Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. God gave man three sets of eyes; the eyes of the spirit, the eyes of the soul and the physical eyes. The physical eyes as the name will depict is to guide our movement and interaction with the physical environs. The spiritual eyes which comprise the eyes of the spirit and the soul is to guide your life because life is spiritual. Life is spiritual and this is why a very strong young man, full of vigor and vitality will sleep and never wake up. Life is spiritual therefore you need your spiritual eyes for the paths of life. The psalmist understood that though he lives in a tangible physical earth, life itself is spiritual so he didn’t say “Thy visible electromagnetic radiation is a light unto my path” The same way the physical eyes need visible light, the spiritual eyes also need its light, which is the Word of God so as to see and function properly. The greatest tragedy is spiritual blindness An asthmatic patient may forget that his reliever or preventer inhaler is by the bedside. When there is an attack in the night times and the lights are gone out, he can die. The problem was not a lack of solution but that he couldn’t see because the room was dark. This has become the problem for some Christians. They have eyes but cannot see. There is darkness in their souls. There is one thing being full of light in your spirit and another thing having light in the soul. Every Christian is full of light in his spirit but differs in the quantum of light in their souls. This is where the difference is. You can be full of light in the spirit but still suffer if that light doesn’t illuminate the soul. And if the eyes of the soul are illuminated, to what degree are they flooded with light? There are people who lack wisdom. They can insult and be full of anger towards the government when the lights are out but these same people don’t put importance to the light in their souls. They don’t care about the darkness in their souls but care about the darkness in the room. Such is not wisdom. Paul prayed for the saints at Ephesus, Christians and said “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power…. Ephesians 1:17-19KJV” These were already Christians but Paul knew that they needed more light in their souls How much light do you want? The more the better. This light, no matter the amount will not destroy your eyes Therefore, get the light of God’s Word in your soul. Get it in abundance God bless you!
