By Apostle Alex Adusei Agyemang John 3:14 KJV And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal life The Lord Jesus Himself alluded to the Christians source of health and healing when He said, “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal life” Your source of healing and health is from the eternal life resident in you. So Paul says, “But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwelleth in you…Romans 8:11KJV” Why did Moses lift up the serpent? The Chlidren of Israel were dying from snake bite and needed healing because they were perishing “And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread.And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people. And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live………Numbers 21:9KJV” “Everyone that is bitten, when he looketh upon the fiery serpent upon the pole, he shall live” Are you bitten by sickness and are perishing ? Jesus says “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal life” Are you a “whosoever”? This is what is expected from God’s Children perishing from infections and diseases, they are to believe in the eternal life that they have received from Jesus. This is God’s antidote, His cure Therefore, in the same way that Moses lifted up the serpent, Jesus was lifted up to draw all the condemnation and diseases upon Himself so that those who believe will not perish by sickness or diseases.
