Philippians 2:21KJV

For everyone looks out for their own interests, not those of Jesus Christ.

The Gospel of using Jesus to achieve one’s own personal goals and interest is nothing new. It was there in Paul’s day

You can be selfish in your relationship with God as a Christian without you even realizing. If any situation changes your commitment to God then assess yourself very well, probably that’s your reason for serving God.

There are many Christians who serve God because of what they seek to get in return. They will make statements like “do the work of God so that your life too may go well”. This shouldn’t be the reason for minding God’s business.

So are you not going to mind God’s business when life is not going well? Such will not be wisdom.

These are the folks that murmur, grumble, moan, gripe and complain when things are not going well. Some even become angry at God

If Paul, Silas, Luke, Titus, Timotheus and others had that mindset, the Gospel wouldn’t have reached you.

Paul said, “ I have learned how to hunger and abound”. He said, none of these things move me. Such was the measure of the man.

Yes! None of these things move us; the work has to be done before the Master returns. He said, I am not only ready to suffer for Him but to die for His name that whether I live or die, Christ may be magnified.

Paul had lost sight of his own interest; it was about the interest of Jesus.

When you really know Jesus, you will love Him and there is nothing stopping you.

Oh! That son of man who gave up His life that His enemies may live.

Do you know that Jesus went on the cross to die for the very Pharisees and the chief Priests who crucified Him? Yes! He died for caiaphas and Annas too.

This is why I love Jesus; His love doesn’t make human sense to me.

When you know Jesus, it will be about His business and not your own interest

Yes! He will bless you but that shouldn’t be your aim and goal. Do His work because you love Him.

God bless you!

Confession

I believe with my heart that Jesus is the very Son of God that He came to die for me and was raised up by God the Father. I confess Him as the Lord of my life from this day forward. Hallelujah! I am born again
