Devotion (The Trumpeter):
Much more than death reigned

For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ Romans 5:17KJV

Men have lived in a world which had been so much dominated by death. This world has been so much dominated by death that their wisdom, perspectives and impressions of life are governed by the thought of death and defeat. The Bible says that death entered by the sin of one man and death reigned over men, death so reigned. It has reigned in every culture, tradition, language and civilisation of men.

This is why their cultures, languages,traditions and speeches are dominated by death. This is all they knew and were acquainted with, this is all they came to meet, this is what they inherited from their forebears.

For instance, in certain African dialects they have statements which connote that death is even stronger than life. This is why their wisdom is foolishness to God, a wisdom dominated by the law of sin and death.

Contrary to the still present thoughts, the christian should and is supposed to dominate and reign over circumstances in this life much more than death has reigned. Paul says, “For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ”

You may be hearing me today and certain problems of life wheher in business, education, family or health may have whipped you, you are supposed to much more dominate over them than they are dominating you.

You have to see life differently from how the world sees it, to see life in the light of their wisdom is to have the same results. He says,

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God………Romans 12:2KJV”

If you will see life differently and see it in the light of God’s word, you will have the God outcomes, you will have the fruits and products of God’s eternal life See yourself as one who is supposed to reign in life more than death has reigned.

You are supposed to because of the grace and the gift of righteousness you received in Jesus Christ.
You have to understand that it is not up to God now but knowing what you have become in Jesus Christ.

Death shouldn’t reign anymore in the life of the Christian
“For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death………..Romans 8:2KJV”
