By Apostle Alex Adusei Agyemang Revelation 3:22KJV “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches!” The Gospel that says that once a person is saved he can never lose his salvation is not from God; it is another Gospel and may take some Christians to hell. The fact that someone is popular and preaches a message doesn’t make it true. The Pastors who preach this Gospel didn’t get any revelation, it is a message they got by reading the books of John Calvin and his disciples. Truth is not what popular preachers say and write, truth is what the Word of God says. Jesus said, “You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God….Matthew 22:29KJV” When you don’t know and understand the Scriptures, you will be in error. What should be important to you as a Christian is what Jesus says about the salvation you have received and not the opinions of other Christians. Every preacher including myself will give an account to Jesus hence it is what He says which should bring a finality to every doubt. Now, what Christians should do is to read the warnings that the Lord Jesus Himself gave to the seven churches in Asia Minor as recorded in the book of Revelation. You have to study the warnings and the consequences if the wayward Christians were not to repent. The oracles to each of the seven churches ended with the statement “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches!” God being wisdom Himself ended with this statement in each of the seven cases to emphasize that the warnings were not to unbelievers or the world but His Church. You see, Jesus is a righteous God. He will not turn a blind eye to a fornicator in His own house and go on to punish a fornicator in the World. This is why these warnings were first given to Christians indulging in the lifestyle of Babylon the great whore before Babylon is later judged in the latter chapters. Like Jesus said, righteousness demands that you take out the beam from thy own eye before you can see clearly to take out the mote from that of your brother. Don’t think that Jesus is going to ignore that Christian who is living in fornication, in adultery and go out to punish the adulteress of the world. If these are not enough, Paul the Apostle of the grace Gospel whose own statements these Calvinistic preachers twist and misinterpret said this about himself, “But I keep control of my body, and bring it into subjection, lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway……1 Corinthians 9:27KJV” Will a man who believes in once saved always save make such a statement about himself? What about Peter? Peter talked about those who once knew the way of truth but lost their salvation because they returned back to the pollutions of the world. “For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they had known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. But it has happened unto them according to the true proverb: “The dog turns to his own vomit again,” and, “the sow that was washed, to her wallowing in the mire.”…….2 Peter 2:20-22KJV” Let them not deceive you. No preacher is greater than the Word of God “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches!” God bless you!
