By Apostle Alex Adusei Agyemang Luke 21:36 KJV Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.” The wrong teaching of a pre-tribulation rapture may cost a lot of Christians. The wrong teaching that the church will be raptured before the great tribulation has rendered some Christians ineffective in doing the needful. If I will be raptured before the tribulation, why bother about events that will take place after I am gone? This has been the thinking of many Christians. The unfortunate truth is that the Bible doesn’t teach a pre-tribulation rapture so the Church will be on earth in the great tribulation. The reason why many find it easy to believe in rapture before the tribulation is that the terror will be great and hence they are naturally conditioned to accept such a doctrine. There are three fates for the Christian during the tribulation. Some will be killed and beheaded; others will die by the sword and a third group, which will escape all the terror “He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity. He that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints…..Revelations 13:10KJV” “I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints and prevailed against them…….Daniel 7:21KJV” There are some who teach that the saints mentioned in these texts, who will go through the tribulation, are the leftover Christians, the Christians who may not be living right. It’s not true. The whole church is what has been referred to as “the saints”, both in Daniel and the book of Revelation. Be careful so you are not deceived. If you are to study the Bible in context and not just join verses to verses anyhow, you will have no doubt that the rapture is post tribulation. Now, what do you do to be part of the third group? It is not just hoping so or wishing so. Jesus Himself showed us the way. He said, “Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.” It is those that are conscious of these things and are praying consistently about them, these will be accounted worthy to escape all the happenings of those days. What has been your prayer content through out the years? Is it only the “give me” prayers? No! You have to be praying constantly and consistently about these things.
