By Apostle Alex Adusei Agyemang Romans11:18AMPC Do not boast over the branches and pride yourself at their expense. If you do boast and feel superior, remember it is not you that support the root, but the root [that supports] you The teaching of a rapture of the Church before the Great tribulation is a wrong message that stems out of pride. The idea that the church age ends with the Gentiles after which God turns His attention to the Jews during the Great tribulation is a fallacy. The church began with the Jews in Acts 2 and it will end with the coming in of the remnant of Israel, an event that will take place in the Great tribulation. Those that propagate the pretribulation rapture doctrine teach that the church age ends with the coming in of the fullness of the Gentiles, something they support with a statement made by the Apostle Paul “Lest you be self-opinionated (wise in your own conceits), I do not want you to miss this hidden truth and mystery, brethren: a hardening (insensibility) has [temporarily] befallen a part of Israel [to last] until the full number of the ingathering of the Gentiles has come in,……Romans 11:25AMPC” “For I, brethren, would not have you be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits: that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in…..Romans 11:25KJV” This really surprises me because if they had understood this verse in context, this same verse should have rather helped them to understand that they are wrong with the pretribulation rapture of the church doctrine. As a Christian, you have to understand the reason for Romans 11. Paul was the foremost Apostle to the Gentile world and the book of Romans was a letter that he wrote to a gentile church in Rome From Romans 9 he explains how that God has called a people by grace, what we refer to as the Church. He further explains how that God has turned his attention to the gentiles, provoking Israel to Jealousy. Knowing the mind of God, he then turns his attention to the gentile Christians themselves, warning them that they shouldn’t based on what he has been saying prior to now to think that they are superior to the Jews. This informed the statement below “Do not boast over the branches and pride yourself at their expense. If you do boast and feel superior, remember it is not you that support the root, but the root [that supports] you” Paul says to the gentile Christians, “Don’t boast and think you are superior to or has a special place in God than the Jews (natural branches)” Sadly this warning hasn’t been heeded to, the reason for many Christians and even global ministers of the Gospel propagating a pre-tribulation rapture of the church. You have to observe that Paul didn’t say “the fullness of the church be come in” but the “fullness of the gentiles become in”. The church is made up of both Jews and Gentiles and Paul in Romans 11 was explaining that the Jews haven’t been castaway as many have thought but that in the past 2000 years God’s focus has majorly been on the salvation of the Gentiles but after the fullness of the Gentiles become in, that is after the total number of gentiles that need to be brought into the church are brought in, God will then turn his attention to the nation of Israel to also complete the fullness of the Jews that ought to be brought in, referred to as the remnant of Israel Simply put, the formation of the church will complete with the remnant of Israel during the Great tribulation hence a teaching of a rapture of the church before the tribulation is a fallacy. The rapture therefore is post tribulation This is why Paul explained to these same Gentile Church the event that will earmark the resurrection of the dead (an event coinciding with the rapture of the church). He said to these Gentile Christians( Please bear in mind that he is not talking to Jews but Gentiles) “And how wonderful it will be when they become Christians! When God turned away from them(Jews) it meant that he turned to the rest of the world to offer his salvation; and now it is even more wonderful when the Jews come to Christ. It will be like dead people coming back to life……Romans 11:15TLB” The resurrection of the dead(dead Christians) only happens when Israel turns to Christ God bless you! Confession I believe with my heart that Jesus is the very Son of God that He came to die for me and was raised up by God the Father. I confess Him as the Lord of my life from this day forward. Hallelujah! I am born again
