By Apostle Alex Adusei Agyemang 2 Timothy 1:9KJV Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began There are Christians whose Christian walk and prayer life have been one of convincing and begging God. When you hear them praying, its one convincing and trying to get God to grant their supplications. This need not be, it shouldn’t be at all. You have to believe in the love that God has for you. God loves you The Gospel, its blessings and inheritance were all God’s ideas and pleasure. It was His purpose. It was God who wanted to do that and with passion and great desire. When you understand that, it helps your faith and takes any stress out of prayer. Its like what Jesus said “Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom…..Luke 12:32KJV” Everything in the Gospel is His good pleasure. There is no need for begging and trying to convince Him. He doesn’t like that. Paul helps us to understand that when we were even enemies in our minds and godless, He had already planned this for us in Christ. He didn’t plan it when we became His friends. This is why there is no need begging. You just have to submit yourself to God’s love. The Christian faith is all about submitting yourself to God’s love but this is where it becomes difficult for some. He has already blessed you with all things possible; nothing is left to be given to you. Therefore be conscious of His love for you and when you pray, be bold and confident. You don’t beg for what is already yours, you show appreciation God bless you!
