Ephesians 5:30KJV

For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones

There are Christians who are still living the Old Testament life just that they have added Jesus. This is because many have not matured; they have not been accurately taught about Christianity.

They want to be like Elijah, David, Isaiah, Elisha etc, their preachers want to be too. It is wrong. They don’t properly study the Word of God. What the Scripture accurately teaches is that all those Prophets and Old Testament saints were looking forward to our day, they wanted to be like you, the Christian. What did Jesus Himself say?

“For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he…..Luke 7:28KJV”

Jesus says that John the Baptist was greater than all the prophets of old, he was greater than Elijah, Jeremiah, Isaiah then He goes on to say that the least in the Kingdom is greater than him. Is the Christian in the Kingdom?

He hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the Kingdom of His dear Son….Colossians 1:13KJV”

If the Christian is greater than John the Baptist who was greater than all the Old Testament prophets why do the preachers and some Christians still want to be like Moses, Elijah, Daniel etc. This clearly shows that they have not fully understood Christianity. They don’t understand who the Christian is

Why do you want to be Ezekiel, when you have become like Jesus?

What is the Christian faith about? It is a faith that should presently give evidence to the heavenly body.

The Bible says

“For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones…..Ephesians 5:30KJV”

It is vital you understand as a Christian what the Christian faith seeks to achieve in this interim, between the ascension of Jesus and His second return.

Everything God does is by faith and the physical always comes from the spiritual

Faith is that which merges the spiritual with the physical; it gives evidence to the unseen before it manifests and is given tangibility. There ought to be that or the physical will not be formed.

Paul understood very well what he was saying when he said that we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones.

Jesus doesn’t have a mortal body, mortal flesh or mortal bones so it should have been in the future but not Paul. He says, you presently are a member of a body and flesh, which is heavenly and immortal. Your flesh is an immortal flesh and your bones, an immortal bone.

This is because the Christian faith ought to give evidence to the heavenly body that you are to receive in the future.

Why will Paul be bitten by a venomous snake and doesn’t care? Why will Jesus tell the Christian, poisonous and deadly things shouldn’t harm you?

This is because the Christian faith should substantiate immortality; it should give evidence to immortality.

So Paul wrote to Timothy and said

“Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:…..2 Timothy 1:9-10KJV”

Eternal life and immortality have been brought to light through the Gospel. You ought to substantiate immortality in the mortal body that you have. This is Christianity.

God bless you!
