Revelation 1:1KJV

This is the revelation of Jesus Christ [His unveiling of the divine mysteries], which God [the Father] gave to Him to show to His bond-servants (believers) the things which must soon take place [in their entirety]; and He sent and communicated it by His angel (divine messenger) to His bond-servant John

 

Who are the bondservants? The Christians are the bondservants. When you say I am a Christian, it means you have become a bondservant of the Lord Jesus. This is how He sees you, it doesn’t matter how you see and define yourself. This is how He measures you and will measure you at His return.

What then is a bondservant? The bondservant is a prisoner; he is one who gives himself up to another’s will. He is devoted to another to the disregard of his own interest. He is one who has lost sight of his own interest. Such is a bondservant. When God refers to Christians as bondservants, this is what is implied.

The bondservants of the Lord Jesus are those whose service He uses to advance His cause.

Till the Christian is made to understand that he has become the bondservant of Jesus, there are many things, which will look unreasonable to him. He will not be able to please God.

You are a bondservant and this is why you cannot and shouldn’t reason like the rest of the world. It can no more be about your personal goals and interest in life.

This is who the Christian has become; to assume any other is to deceive you. We exist for Him, not the other way. True Christianity understands that you exist for God and not the other way. God doesn’t exist for you, you exist for him. Before we came, He was existing. He doesn’t exist for us, we exist for Him

The Bible says,

“For of Him, and through Him, and to Him, are all things, to whom be glory for ever. Amen…..Romans 11:36KJV”

 

Paul says,

“ For the love of Christ constraineth us, because we thus judge that if One died for all, then all were dead;and that He died for all, that those who live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto Him who died for them and rose again……2 Corinthians 5:14-15KJV”

Be conscious of who you are, a bondservant of Jesus
