It remaineth that those who have wives should be as though they had none; and those who weep, as though they wept not; and those who rejoice, as though they rejoiced not; and those who buy, as though they possessed not; and those who use this world, as not abusing it. For the fashion of this world passeth away. The time remaining for the completion of the present age was short for Paul when writing to the Church at Corinth in the first century. Twenty centuries on, the time is even shorter. The end of all things is at hand. The external conditions of this world, its manner of life are all to pass away soon. Marriages, business, commerce, secular education, careers are all going to pass with this world. This world is passing away and very fast. It becomes important for the Christian to be focused and understand the real essence of life and being. He has to understand why he is in this world. We are not to overuse and abuse the things of this world. God doesn’t like it when the Christian excessively uses the things of this world. He doesn’t want you to be at home in the world “Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:…..2 Corinthians 5:6KJV” You are at home in this world if your life is centered and revolves around the cares of this world. It is important the Church understands the communication of the word of God. Some really have not understood, the reason for things they pursue in life. Jesus tells you that you are in the world and not of the world. We don’t belong to this world and as long as He is concerned we borrow things from this world. When you partake in the systems of this world, you are borrowing. Whether their money or career, you are borrowing. Don’t make your life about these things. Some erroneously have and hence have erred from the faith. A day is coming and very soon that they will take their money back “And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name………..Revelation 13:16-17KJV” A day is coming and very soon that the political order of the world will take all your money from you, all the money you saved in the bank will then belong to the state. On that day, the Christians will understand that life wasn’t about money. You were just allowed to borrow from the world. So He says, “Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;……..1 Timothy 6:16-17KJV” The Christians will lose millions and billions overnight unless you go with the image of the beast. Well, it was their money and they will take it back. Don’t waste your time on things that have no certainty, focus on that which is important.
