By Apostle Alex Adusei Agyemang 2 Corinthians 5:7KJV For we walk by faith, not by sight When Paul said, “For we walk by faith, not by sight”, it wasn’t an exhortation or a sermon. Paul was defining who the Christian is, that he is the faith creature. Faith has become his life. Christianity means directing, regulating and conducting your life in accordance with the Word of God in all situations and at all times. He doesn’t make a practice of faith. The Jews made a practice of faith but for the Christian, faith has become his life. To live contrary, is to be a walking contradiction. You become like that male who dresses and behave like a female, they are called transgender. Such is any Christian who lives according to sensory perceptions. He is viewed like that in the spirit. This is what James meant when he said, “For if any be a hearer of the Word and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a mirror; for he beholdeth himself, and then goeth his way and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was…..James 1:23-24KJV” The man forgot the type and kind of creature that he was, that he is the Word creature, a creature supposed to conduct his life in accordance with God’s Word. This is who the Christian is. Christianity is not just about going to church on Sundays. The Christian is the Word doer. There are two kinds of creatures on God’s green earth, the fear creature and the faith creature, the natural man and the spiritual man. One is of the senses; the other is of the spirit. One regulates his life according to the sight; the other directs his life in accordance to the Word The Christian directs his life only in accordance to what God has said. The Christian has become like Jesus, the first spiritual man. Jesus was an intrusion into the sense realm. He always responded and acted in accordance to God’s Word. This is the Jesus, who said to satan, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God……Matthew 4:4KJV” Therefore when you find this Jesus healing the sick, raising the dead, stopping the deadly storms, He was just being the Word doer. He was and is the Word and was acting out the Word. Such is the Christian. The doctor may have given you a deadly report, what are you going to do? Will you prepare for your death or act according to the Word? Family and the society may have branded you a failure but you are a Christian. Whose report are you going to accept? The report of men or that of the Word You have to understand who you are. You are not supposed to accept anything not consistent with God’s Word. This is what the fight of faith means. It is a fight by the Word, “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God…..Romans 10:17KJV” God bless you!
