   Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

 

Evil spirits are not a race so we don’t have first generation evil spirits and daughter evil spirits. The evil spirits that Jesus, Paul, John and even the very old testament Jews dealt with are the same the church is dealing with. They are as old as Adam. These evil spirits are of different sorts, types and character and will express that specific character wherever they are. When they are possessing or influencing a human being, he will express such characters and traits.

Evil spirits can also be found in the church and in preachers. The fact that someone is preaching from a pulpit doesn’t mean he is speaking by the Spirit of God.

Even the Lord Jesus Himself alluded to this.

“Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols….Revelation 2:20KJV”

This false prophetess was in the church of Thyatira. How was she seducing and deceiving the Christians to indulge in fornication? It was by the message that she taught.

There are many of such nowadays, found in different circles of christendom. These are Gnostic preachers with great scholastic erudition, they are very smart but come to deceive.

They use trickery to twist the Word of God so as to stray the Christian from the way of righteousness. They are mostly after the youth.

They have their own definition of what sin is . They preach to Christians that since they are spirits living in a body and the body is not them but their house, nothing done with their body becomes sin. This they do to lure Christians, especially the youth into fornication.

These are liars and false prophets. They were not sent by God but are of their father, the devil.

You find young Christians giving heed to such doctrines and claim to have a divine revelation from God. This is no divine revelation but a deep secret of satan

Paul wrote to the Corinthian Christians, saying

“Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid. What? Know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh. But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s…….1 Corinthians 6:15-20KJV”

You have to be careful as a Christian, we are in the last days. These are not times to joke with your walk in Christ.

Jesus is love but He is not begging anyone to be a Christian. He is not going to compromise on His standards to allow anyone into His Kingdom.

This is why He Himself came through the agency of His Angel to warn the seven churches in Asia minor.

The Master says,

“ Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in there at: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it……. Matthew 7:13-14KJV
