By Apostle Alex Adusei Agyemang

Micah 6:6KJV

Wherewith shall I come before the LORD, and bow myself before the high God? Shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves of a year old?

When we say the “high God”, it means God is in a lofty place. He is in an elevated height, He is the Most High. We are talking spiritually yet with a parallel as pertains to geographical location.

When you pray, sing or dance to Him, remember that He is the high God.

Many times you will find in the Bible that men prayed lifting up holy hands in the air.

The psalmist says,

“Behold, bless ye the Lord, all ye servants of the Lord, which by night stand in the house of the Lord. Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord…….Psalm 134:1-2KJV”

When  you pray and worship, you are not offering prayers to the demonic vain olympian gods of the pagan or the heathen but to the true God. He alone is God, He is the High God. Therefore, there ought to be utmost reverence.

Micah says,

“Where shall I come before the Lord, and bow myself before the high God?”

He is the high God. When you recognize that He is the high God, you know that this is not an ordinary being.

Paul admonished, saying

“I will therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting……..1 Timothy 2:8KJV”

You ought to lift up holy hands to the elevated, high and lofty God

He is the high God because He is at the apex of the spiritual pyramidal hierarchy yet those who are below Him are far below.

The Bible says,

“ For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him……… 1 Corinthians 8:5-6KJV”

There are not three Gods working in unison as it has been propagated by some denominations; such doctrines stem from paganisms. Trilogy of Gods is a pagan doctrine.

The context shows that Paul the Apostle is talking  numerically and not unity of Gods. He juxtaposes the fact that there are others who boast of many gods but we the Christians know that numerically there is only one God. He is not two or three but one

This is why the Jews always recited

“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one…….Deutronomy 6:4KJV”

You can as well say,

“Hear, O Church: The LORD our God, the LORD is one.

They are not three. He is one yet Elohim

So Paul said,

“And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory………1 Timothy 3:16KJV”

Who is Jesus? Paul says that He was God manifest in the flesh. Is that what your Church has been teaching you or their opinions?

Paul wrote to Titus and said,

“Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;  who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works……Titus 2:13-14KJV”

Jesus is not only the saviour but the great God

Therefore, lift up holy hands to the high God. He is elevated and lofty

God bless you!
