By Apostle Alex Adusei Agyemang Isaiah 33:22KJV For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; it is he who will save us. When you become a Christian, you have become part of the Israel of God, you have become part of Zion. Paul wrote to the Church to say “ But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect……Hebrews 12:22-23KJV” The Christian has been born again into Zion and in Zion, the Lord is our lawgiver. The Lord tells you what to do and how to behave, He tells you what to do in everything. It is not what you want to do and how you want to live your life. No! He is the lawgiver, He tells us what to do and how to behave. He tells you how to behave at the workplace, He tells you what to do and how to behave as a father, mother, husband, wife, child and as a leader. For instance, God tells fathers to raise up children according to His instruction and not by what they feel and take pleasure in. It should be in accordance to God’s admonition “And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord…….Ephesians 6:4KJV” So even though the father is raising the child, he has no right to do it his way, it should be in accordance with the instruction of the Lord. God is not only a lawgiver but the judge, He will judge you according to the laws He gave. There are people who feel and think that because they are older, they should be listened to. No! it is not so at all. Are you older than God? He is the ancient of days hence we all have to listen to Him. What He says is final. You have no right to tell someone to do something differently from what God has said. You absolutely have no right. The Lord is the lawgiver Love doesn’t mean a permission to disobey and disregard what God has said. If it is so then no one will go to hell because no one is more loving than God Jesus said, “……… It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God……….Matthew 4:4KJV” Man is supposed to live by what God has said and not what he thinks will make his life easier It was not an easy task to die and bear the sins of all the world but when Jesus received that commandment from God, He had to do it. It was not easy to die as a martyr but when Peter received the instruction, he had to obey. You have no right to change the pattern or instruction just because you deem it difficult or displeasing. No! The Lord is the lawgiver. When God has said something but you choose a different path, it’s your way of saying that you are wiser and knows better than God Can a man be wiser than God? Therefore, don’t be proud and do what God says God bless you!
