Revelation 2:23KJV

    I will strike her children dead. Then all the churches will know that I am he who searches hearts and minds, and I will repay each of you according to your deeds.

 

God told the Prophet Samuel who doubled as a judge in Israel,

 “…….. Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart……..1 Samuel 16:7NIV”

If God doesn’t look at things people look at, it means it is unrighteous to see things the way people see them . It is righteous to see things the way God sees them.

The true you is the man behind the face, your true character and personality is that of the one behind the face.

He says, “ I love this brother or sister when behind the face there is bitterness and dislike”. The true you is the man behind the face.  Men will not see that but God sees it.

As a Christian, you should understand that it is God and not man whom you will oneday give an account to. Therefore, we are to examine ourselves by His measurements and standards. Don’t be happy just because men commend you, ask yourself how God sees you? How does He who is no respecter of persons consider me.

Is my heart pure or evil? Is my heart clean or polluted?

Jesus says,

“Then all the churches will know that I am he who searches hearts and minds, and I will repay each of you according to your deeds”

He searches the hearts and minds of every Christian, even today He is searching your heart and mind.

Grace doesn’t mean uncleanliness in the hearts and minds is acceptable. Grace Himself says I search the heart and minds of the Christians and will repay each according to his deeds.

Therefore, work on yourself from within. For God, what is within is the most important.

Sometimes, there are people even including Christians who are destroyed and many are stunned. They even question God if even the Word is true. This is because such people looked so matured and perfect in their spiritual life. This is where you may be wrong.

Do you know what was within. He tells us how He looks at things, He considers the reins and minds of men not just an outward presentation. Therefore,let God be true and every man a liar.

Do all that is required to keep your heart pure.
