We are the clay in the hand of the potter, this is what it means to be a creature. The creature doesn’t decide but the creator. Your responsibility as a creature is to follow the design of the creator. When a man marries a woman, he requires her to be submissive. Parents require their children to be obedient. Man, did you create that wife? Parents, you were just a means for their entrance into the world . Don’t you then think that man has a high responsibility to be obedient to God’s plan? How can you be justified when you require your wife to be submissive when you are not obedient to God? How will you be blameless when you demand your children to be respectful when you are rebellious to the plan of the creator? You condemn yourself by your own expectations from another creature. The potter indeed has the right over the clay and if God created you to be a sign board, remain a sign board. Consider the sign board, it gives directions but it never get to the place it directs others to. God is a creator of destinies, He creates different destinies for different people but the most important is that we fulfil our individual destinies. At the end when it all comes to an end, what will matter is if we fulfilled that destiny. It wont matter where you were born, who gave birth to you, the school you attend or the career you chose but if you were able to finish your course. He will demand that from us because the potter has the right over the clay.This is why it is unwise to compare yourself with that brother or sister, you have to finish your own course. Peter could not be John, neither could John be Paul. When Peter wanted to be John, Jesus was angry. What is important is the work He has for you and the destiny He created for you. Know that destiny and fulfil it. Like Paul when all is said and done, you will be glad you did. God bless you!
