By Apostle Alex Adusei Agyemang Matthew 7:3KJV And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? There are scores of people who are very sensitive and passionate about the subject of racism. They call out and condemn racial prejudices. Racism truly is bad, pathetic, demonic and should be condemned and uprooted. The truth is that before you go out to point fingers at racists, it should be with justification. How do you treat your maidservant? How do you relate with the uneducated? Are you a respecter of persons? Do you see yourself better than the poor just because you are rich? The individual you see yourself to be smarter or prettier than, how do you treat him or her? There are many rich people who used to be very poor but when they became rich, they started maltreating and oppressing the poor. You are a Christian but deems yourself to be better than another just because he or she hails from another tribe. There are people who see themselves to be superior to others of a different ethnicity but when they travel abroad, complain and point fingers at racism and white supremacy. The Master says, “Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye…. Matthew 7:5KJV” Don’t you know and understand that the poor, the illiterate and that victims of your tribal prejudices are equally human beings as you are and felt the same way you did when you became a victim of racism? You are prejudiced towards the poor, the uneducated, an ethnic group, a career line etc. but complain when someone is prejudiced towards race. What is the difference? If you can be prejudiced towards a tribe of the same race, you would have been a proponent of racial prejudices, have you been of a different race. The problem really is not racism but the selfishness and self-centeredness of men played out in different variables. Another’s own just happened to be race Any other prejudice is as evil as racial prejudice. When God looks down and sees the person complaining about racism, He becomes angry with the individual because He sees how this same individual has been maltreating her maidservant. The problem is not really racism. People need either salvation or a proper renewal of mind with the Word of God. Before you go out to point fingers at others, make sure you are not guilty of any other form of prejudice Jesus said “Therefore, all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them; for this is the Law and the Prophets…….Matthew 7:12KJV” God bless you!
