By Apostle Alex Adusei Agyemang 2 Timothy 3:16KJV All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: When Paul said that the Scriptures are for correction, he means that the Scripture is what is to be used to straighten up things, to restore things to its proper and right state. This is why only God’s Word is the truth. No matter the assumptions of men, their opinions or feelings, if a behavior or approach to issues is not in line with the Word of God, it means that it is not in its rightful and proper state and hence there ought to be a change. You may see yourself as wise and have all men agreeing with you, it doesn’t change anything. If the position taken on the matter is in conflict with God’s Word, there needs to be a change, whether it relates to character or doctrine. Jesus said, “Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God….Matthew 22:29KJV” There is nothing like I feel or think I am right. You are right only if the Word says so. This is why it is the Word of God and not feelings that will judge men. Due to ignorance of these things, there are Christians who have walked in the lust of the flesh thinking it to be emotions of genuine love. The Word is the measuring rod The Psalmist says, “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path….Psalm 119:105KJV” God’s Word will give you direction; the Word will color your life and give the right ambience of the environment. Therefore anything that needs rectification in life, work on it through the agency and instrumentality of the Word God bless you!
