When you say that I am a Christian, understand that you entered into a transaction the day you accepted the salvation of the Lord Jesus. Being ignorant of this doesn’t change the fact that you are in a contract. This contract is not about covenants. It doesn’t mean that the christian is in a covenant with Jehovah. Christianity was an exchange, a great substitution. He took your place so that you might take His place. When you say that I am a Christian, it means you are no more living, Christ is the one now living through you and in you. This is why Jesus died on the cross “And He died for all, so that all those who live would no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and was raised for their sake” This is Christianity, you are no longer living for your goals but His goals and vision. Any Christian who fails to understand this is a failure in the eyes of God. It doesn’t matter the career you have, the companies you have built and the number of PhDs you have. It doesn’t matter. Your spirit and body no longer belong to you. This is why you can’t think and plan your life like the world. Your spirit and body have been bought. They are owned by Christ. “ For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s……..1 Corinthians 6:20KJV” Yes, your spirit and body belong to Christ. This is why Jesus could tell Peter even how he was supposed to die so to glorify Him “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdest thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not.This spake he, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me……….John 21:18-19KJV” Christianity is stretching forth your hands for Christ to carry you to where He wants, even to places which you don’t like. Some Christians attitude in life is about what they want and like. Oh! This is my dream and vision. This is what I want to do, this is where I want to be. Such is immaturity, they are still young and want to walk where it pleases them. Christianity is not about what pleases you, it is about what pleases Christ. There are Christians who think they are successful in life but are not. The creature doesn’t determine what success is, the creator does. To measure yourself according to the standards of society translates to the creature determining what success is. “And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth…….Luke 12:15KJV” Beware of that drive to always get more and build more. Beware of that drive of living just for the purpose of a career and how to get more money and own more properties, for that is not what true success in life is about. This is how the world thinks and measures life but not God. The day that life comes to an end or the trumpet sounds, you will account to the creator, everyman will. Don’t waste your life on things which really will not count or matter at the end. God bless you!
