By Apostle Alex Adusei Agyemang James 2:20NIV You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless? Faith without deeds is useless. Which Christian are you? A true believer or the unbelieving? The Bible talks of two crops of christians, the true believer and the unbelieving believer. Jesus said, “Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?…..Luke 6:46NIV The unbelieving believers go to church, worship God, they refer to Jesus as Lord and even preach and quote Scripture but the word of God is not that which guides their actions in life. They are Christians but conduct their lives according to the wisdom of this world, the opinions of men and their own drive their lives. This is the unbelieving believer. He will preach Psalm 91 but forgets it when there is a pandemic; Psalm 91 is only true on Sundays. It’s important that the Christian understands the true meaning of the word “believe”. Till that word of God changes your conduct and response in life, you haven’t believed it. Till it influences what your decision is going to be in that situation, you have not believed. It doesn’t matter whether you sing it or preach it if that word doesn’t change how your response is going to be, you haven’t believed it. This is why there are many unbelieving pastors, bishops and Christians. The Word of God is only true when the sun is shining but when there are difficult problems at hand, they turn to human wisdom. God doesn’t take delight in unbelieving believers. Are you an unbelieving believer or a true believer? The unbelieving believer has not done anything more than demons because demons too are unbelieving believers. James says, “Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble…..James 2:19KJV” demons also believe that Jesus is Lord, they know and believe that He Jesus is the very son of God but when you knew Him to be Lord and God, did the words He spoke govern your actions and decisions in life? Till you become a doer of the word and not just a hearer, you are an unbelieving believer So He says, “It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God…….Matthew 4:4KJV” God bless you!
