By Apostle Alex Adusei Agyemang Psalm 16:11KJV Thou wilt show me the path of life; in Thy presence is fullness of joy; at Thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. The Bible says, “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death…..Proverbs 14:12NKJV” The message translation of this verse is very nice, it reads “There’s a way of life that looks harmless enough; look again—it leads straight to hell. Sure, those people appear to be having a good time, but all that laughter will end in heartbreak…..MSG” So there is a path of life and a path that leads to destruction. The way of death is not necessarily a way that takes one to hell but includes a path that takes one out of the will of God for their lives. There are Christians who have assumed what God’s way of life should be. To them for it to be God’s path of life, it should be devoid of troubles and problems, it should be an ever-comfortable life. Such people have been misled by ignorant preachers. Jesus Himself said to the disciples, “ These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer: I have overcome the world…..John 16:33KJV” Grace doesn’t suggest a trouble free life but an assurance of victory. The externals should not define what God’s will is. God’s way of life has been revealed to us in Jesus and no matter the cost, we must take that path of life. Paul says, “ But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry which I have received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the Gospel of the grace of God….Acts 20:24KJV” Paul says, “I don’t care about the cost, my goal is to fulfill God’s purpose for my life” The path of life that Jesus carved for Paul was to include sufferings The Lord said to Ananias regarding Paul “…. Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name’s sake……Acts 9:15-16KJV” A man in God’s will was supposed to suffer. See things from God’s perspective. This world is vain and will soon pass away but what comes after is eternal. It is the real thing. The devil is called a deceiver for a reason; he presents what seems so garnished so to lure you from God’s will. It’s not how bad or good it is that defines it as being God’s will. Its conformity to the way, ethics, call and mission of the Kingdom is what matters. The psalmist says, “Thou wilt show me the path of life”. There is a path of life and only God can reveal it to you. Find that path as revealed by the Word and Spirit of God and take that route. God bless you! Confession I believe with my heart that Jesus is the very Son of God that He came to die for me and was raised up by God the Father. I confess Him as the Lord of my life from this day forward. Hallelujah! I am born again
