By Apostle Alex Adusei Agyemang

I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, with all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love, Ephesians 4:1-2KJV

The Christian is admonished to produce fruits worthy and fit of the calling he has received in Jesus. The christian calling is a heavenly calling, a holy calling. The conduct and walk in the Christian life is supposed to be accompanied with four vital virtues.

When Paul talks about lowliness, it means you, the Christian should have a humble opinion of yourself. This is a humbleness of mind. You are not to see yourself as better than your fellow Christian.

The next is meekness. The Christian ought to be meek, you should be gentle in your spirit and approach to life. There should be a mildness about your spirit.

Jesus said,

“Come unto Me all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and ye shall find rest unto your souls……….Matthew 11:28-29KJV”

Be lowly and meek in the heart. Jesus, the great God has that personna so being meek and lowly doesn’t make you any less of a human being. The wise actually is meek and lowly

He goes on to talk about longsuffering and forbearance in love. It means a patient endurance, slowness in avenging wrong. Don’t render evil for evil. You are to put up with others in love.

When these four ingredients are in place in the Christian conduct, you will be productive and fruitful in your knowledge of Christ.

God bless you!
