All the issues and outgoings of life springs from your heart. The happenings in your life have been and will be a reflection and product of the state of your heart and mind. This is why satan always attacks the hearts and minds of men. All his devices are to get the wrong ingredients into the heart of man. All the troubles, lies and deceptions he throws at you is to get fear, sins, bad thoughts, anxiety and all the wrong stuffs into that heart and mind of yours. You are not defeated because of the mere presence of problems in your life, you are defeated because of what you allow those problems to do to your heart and mind. No matter the problems, if you will condition the heart rightly, you will come on top. This is all what the fight of faith is about. So Paul says to the Christian, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus……Philippians 4:6-7KJV” No matter the case, you don’t allow anxiety, worries and fear into that heart of your’s. satan brought those troubles to get these things into your heart. This is the only way to destroy and defeat you in that problem How to respond is to rejoice in that problem, giving thanks to God whilst making your request known to Him Some days ago we learned that prayer is not a means to convince or inform God and that there were other reasons why we pray. One of such reasons is what Paul just mentioned. The right attitude of prayer helps you to protect and guard your heart and mind because it is from the heart that the change you desire will spring forth. He says, “ but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” This is how you are to behave in every situation. No matter the problem, don’t behave differently. The secret to your victory is in worshipping and thanking God in that problem whilst making your requests than murmuring and being anxious.
