By Apostle Alex Adusei Agyemang Revelation 21:8KJV But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake, which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. The Bible indeed shows that there are two kinds of fears. Though both are bad, one will take a man to the lake of fire. Jesus is emphatic about it. He says, “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake, which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” This statement from the Lord has worried some Christians over the years. What really does the Lord mean when He says that the fearful will end up in hell. The Master, in mentioning the groups of sinners who will end up in hell, talks about the fearful. Who are these fearful? He is not talking about the Christian who acts in fear and doubt because of the challenges of life. He is not talking about the vacillating and wavering child of God even though this kind of fear is also evil and bad. The fearful that the Lord is talking about are the timid and cowards. These are people including Christians who will be cowards concerning the truth. Such Christians should be careful, they will end up in hell if they don’t repent. This could be the Christian or Pastor who is not bold and valiant about the truth but compromises because of fear. A Pastor who for the fear of persecution will compromise on the standards of truth. Such people will end up in hell if they don’t repent. Jesus said, “If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels…….Mark 8:38NIV” Paul talks about those who handle truth deceitfully, they will all end up in hell. This is the Pastor or Christian who plays around fornication, transgender, gay marriage and other forms of uncleaness and sins, entertains them just because he is a coward and fears the consequences of standing for the truth, they will end up in hell if they don’t repent. The fearful will end up in hell. Yes! The timid and cowards will end up in hell. He says, “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake, which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death” Don’t be a coward, be bold for the truth. Paul says, “In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him….Ephesians 3:12 KJV” God bless you!
