Yes! “Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.” God bless you! When a father tells the son, “Jump off this cliff and I will catch you”, the son may keep on calling the dad’s name but if he doesn’t jump, it means he doesn’t trust the father. He doesn’t believe in the willingness or ability of the dad to catch him. He may keep on crying to the dad, it doesn’t mean he trusts the dad or what he said. Trust is in following instructions. There are Christians who have misconstrued praying and calling on God’s name to mean trusting God. The fact that you called God’s name or even prayed to him, doesn’t necessarily mean that you trust God. Trust is in doing what you are told. This lack of understanding has led to some Christians assuming to be in faith when really they are not, the reason for the consequences. Here is a Christian who may be diagnosed with a deadly disease, he has been given a death sentence. He needs heaven’s intervention. The whole family starts praying and crying to God, their pastor may even join yet he dies. They wonder what really happened. What happened is that they didn’t follow God’s instruction. He says, “My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh….Proverbs 4:20-22KJV” He connects your health to His Word; He connects your health to an instruction Again, He says “ Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.Their soul abhorreth all manner of meat; and they draw near unto the gates of death.Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses……..Psalms 107:17-19KJV” Can you now see,Bro Alex! They cried to God and got their healing. No Beloved, don’t forget the next verse. In the next verse, God shows how He healed them “He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions…Psalm 107:20KJV”. Again, He connects your health to His Word. Trusting God is linked to His Word, you have to follow the instruction He gives. Things are not just going to change because you prayed. The prayer has to be weaponized. Prayers are weaponize by the revelation of God’s Word Jesus said, “Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?…….Luke 6:46KJV” The next time you say, “we trusted in God”, ask yourself if you have followed the instruction of His Word So Wisdom says, “Hold on to instruction, do not let it go; guard it well, for it is your life……Proverbs 4:13NIV”. .God bless you!
