Who is a fool?

Proverbs 1:7KJV

 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

A fool is not the one who doesn’t know, a fool ignores knowledge. He doesn’t know because he despises wisdom and instruction, he is a fool.

What is the Word of God? The Word of God is the wisdom of God, the word of God reveals God’s knowledge, His thinking, His ways and how He sees things.

For instance, if you are in a situation or state of mind that the Word of God doesn’t speak well about, as long as you are in that behaviour that is how God sees you. It doesn’t matter whether your name is John or Christian, what His Word says is how God is going to see you.

The Bible says that wisdom is too high for a fool and the Master said,

“Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you…….Matthew 7:6KJV”

The Word is so precious but fools mock and scorn at God’s Word. He is a fool because he is proud, he thinks he knows better than God.

Do you know how the levanthian was created? How then to mock at God’s Word?

A fool is not the one who doesnot know, he is a fool because wisdom and knowledge don’t interest him and this is how God sees some christians. Though they have the Bible with them, a book full of invaluable wisdom and knowledge, they spend more time on all other things than the Bible. As long as God is concerned, they are acting foolishly. Somebody may say, why refer to some Christians as foolish?

Paul said, “ Oh foolish Galatians!”

This is what wisdom has to say about a fool,

“How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? And the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge? Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you. Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof: I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the Lord:……Proverbs 1:22-29KJV”

Don’t hate wisdom and knowledge. To hate knowledge is not limited to speaking evil about God’s Word but when you know what God says and you don’t do it, you hate wisdom.

You may be a father, mother, a wife, husband, pastor or even a business man but do you act the way God says you should? You know what His Word says but you act otherwise. As long as God is concerned, you are acting foolishly.

The prayers of the fool are not answered.

He says,

“He who turns away his ear from hearing instruction, even his prayer will be an abomination……Proverbs 28:9 MEV”

This is why things don’t change for many Christians. They are more interested in prayer than what God has to say about their behavior and walk of life

So Peter says,

“For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil……1 Peter 3:12KJV

And it is evil to ignore what God has said, to do that which pleases you

He says,

“Thus saith the Lord, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? And where is the place of my rest? For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the Lord: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word……Isaiah 66:1-2KJV”

Do you regard God’s Word?

If you regard God’s Word, He will regard you. If you don’t regard His Word, He won’t either because you are a creature and He is the creator.
