Ephesians 6:12KJV

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

 

The Christian should understand that he is in a war. This is not a war that lasts for 1 year or two. You are constantly and continuously in it. For some Christians, it is only when problems come that they think they are in a war. No! you are always in a war. The adversaries are unseen forces and this is why you need to be careful.

You are in a war when you heard the good news, you are in a war when all was peaceful at home. Don’t wait for troubles to come before being vigilant and alert

You are to always  be a soldier.

Paul wrote to Christians and said,

“Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand…….Ephesians 6:13KJV”

Even though they were Christians, they were not automatically protected and needed to do something to stand protected. They were to put on the whole armour of God, not part but the complete armour.

They were not to put it on on Monday and be without it on Tuesday. They were not to put it on in January and be without it in February. They are supposed to be clothe with it permanently.

When he enlisted the whole regalia of the armour, it didn’t include going to church, paying your tithe, giving offerings, being in the choir, singing songs, playing drums in church etc etc.

This means you can do all these wonderful things whilst still being unprotected and exposed.

If you are going to withstand satan’s fiery missiles, Paul says you need the whole armour of God. He tells you what are in the armour and you need to go for them

You live in two realms pari-passu, not sometimes in the spirit and other times in the natural. You are always in contact with these two realms at the same time. And the spiritual control the happenings in the natural, this is why you ought to be careful.

God helps you to understand the character of your adversary, he never sleeps and always seeks for an opportune time to strike. This is why you are not to let your guard down.

You are to always remain vigilant. You have all it takes to whip the devil
